My telegram No. 224 on tour.
Maze is now proceeding to Hongkong with re-draft
agreement containing further minor amendments. New
draft has been approved by Minister of Finance who
has authorised Maze to negotiate an agreement on this
basis.
Amendment appears to be a matter of detail which
should be capable of settlement between Maze and
Hongkong authorities.
I have informed Maze that when
agreement is reached I will request authority to sign.
